I may ask you what you think is the greatest curse of mankind.
You could answer "Death", pretty easily. "Being bound to a mortal life".
You could answer "Illness", or "Weakness".
Casual Pink Floyd fans may start telling me about the power of few and the poverty of many.
The point is, getting older, weaker and, through the process, killing each other, is natural and obvious, as humans are mere animals in the end.
But if I tell you "I love you", and you understand 99 things except actually "I love you", well, that's what I think is the unholiest horror that could haunt human race.
Personally, even though I may not look like an optimist, I think that love is way more powerful than hate.
The thing is that impossibly, unimaginably enormous amounts of love usually never make their way to the other individual.
There are a million barriers which prevent people from understanding each other.
My feeling has to travel from my soul to my brain, which then needs to translate the emotion into language, losing a good 30% of the initial intention through the process.
My tongue will try to pronounce what my brain brewed up, but will eventually end up producing a slightly different tone of voice, which will ultimately be one more reason for the other person to misunderstand.
Let's suppose the other person actually receives the message properly: they will obviously start doubting about my words.
We've been placed in this curse and it looks like there is no way to escape it.
But there actually is: it's art.
